Special Nights set with RoughRiders, Kernels

Prospect Meadows will be a having a pair of special nights this year with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders and Cedar Rapids Kernels to promote the new baseball/softball facility and its activities.

The first special night will be this Friday (March 13) with “Prospect Meadows Night At The RoughRiders,” a joint presentation by Prospect Meadows and the very popular Kiwanis Miracle League.

The RoughRiders are giving free tickets to all 42 of the players who participated in the Miracle League last year and the Kiwanis Miracle League is buying each parent tickets to attend. The RoughRiders are also offering a discounted rate on tickets to all Miracle League families.

Prospect Meadows will have tables set up at the RoughRiders game to promote the 2020 Miracle League and also to promote their “Enhance The Experience” campaign at Prospect Meadows.

The RoughRiders are hosting the Des Moines Buccaneers in the USHL hockey game this Friday night, with the contest scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m.

Prospect Meadows will be holding its special night with the Kernels on Saturday, May 23 at Veterans Memorial Stadium to promote the Enhance The Experience campaign, which began last week to raise money for new amenities at the complex. It also will be Star Wars night at the ballpark on May 23 and a big crowd is expected.

Prospect Meadows will have tables at the ballpark to promote the facility. There also will be promotional material on the big scoreboard at Perfect Game Field and special announcements during the game.
